I have this toy motorbike:
it’s got the racing number 42 which I thought was pretty cool because Hitchhiker’s, I assumend they’d picked the number at random and it wasn’t a deliberate reference, it’s a cheap toy why would they be making Douglas Adams references, but…

Starting next month, a robot named hitchBOT will attempt to hitchhike across Canada. Using speech recognition, speech processing, and social media, it will try to charm its way from one coast to the other.
Someone needs to give this robot a towel, then strags (non-hitchhikers) will think it is a really together robot and will happily offer it anything it needs.
When I visited its twitter page it had tweeted 42 times!
